Call for Papers

International Conference on TCM Classics and Clinic

Approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Government, “” will be held at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) in Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province, China, on October 31, 2009.

On the theme of “Study the Classics, Follow the Renowned Doctor and Go to Clinic”, keynote speakers will be invited from China Academy of Science (CAS) and China Academy of Engineering (CAE), as well as from famous scholars and professors of TCM.
The International Conference on TCM Classics and Clinic

1.Papers concerning the following issues are warmly welcome:
●Research on TCM classics and related clinical experience
●Clinical summary of famous TCM doctors honored at national or provincial level (national level of 1st –4th cohort)
●New method and progress of basic research on TCM classics
●New approach to TCM clinical research
●Study on the use of medicinal herbs from personal experience of renowned TCM doctors, analysis of local folk prescriptions and on proved formulas and clinical case
●Scouting and application of TCM unique diagnosis and treatment
●Up-to-date project report of TCM classics and clinic research at national, provincial or department level
● Experience on studying TCM classics

2.Requirement of papers
●Papers never published before the conference
●lPapers with topical theme, concrete evidence and complete reference
●Papers should be within 5000 words and 3-8 key words. Please list: name(s) of the author(s), professional title(s), affiliation(s), mailing address, postcode and email address. Please also include credentials from author’s affiliation.
●Paper submission shall be in both printed and electronic version. Please indicate “paper for 2009 ZCMU conference” on the envelope and set email subject as “author’s name+ paper for 2009 ZCMU conference”. Email the paper as attachment in Microsoft Word file and a confirmation reply will be sent upon receiving the email (if not, contact the conference committee).
l US$50 will be charged as peer-review fee, required to be sent out with the paper’s printed copy. Paper author is supposed to keep a copy of his/her paper since no printed copy will be returned once it is received. Deadline is August 31, 2009.

3. Papers on edition will be compiled into “Paper Collections of 2009 International Conference on TCM Classics and Clinic”, published after conference. The excellent ones will be recommended to national and provincial journals. The conference has been listed as one of the Continuous TCM Education Programs in Zhejiang province. Registered participant will get 5 credits in Category1.
